"This winch was invaluable in taking down (log by log) a log cabin constructed in 1857 as well as moving logs (which were unbelievably heavy) to flat bed truck, off of the truck and in reconstruction of the log cabin at another location miles away. We determined early one that a power winch would not be appropriate due to the delicate nature of the project and the fact we were dealing with logs and lumber that was almost 160 years old. The weight of the logs and potential of serious, perhaps deadly accidents was very high and safety was uppermost in our minds, along with the strong desire to create little or no damage to the logs, wooden floor boards, and original windows etc.
Due to the flawless way this winch operated and could be easily controlled, the project was completed with NO damage to original logs or hand hewned lumber that was removed and rebuilt and more importantly, no injuries to employees."
