good winch,

"The winch works well. you do have to be careful when you attach the wired remote, the first time I inserted connector into the receptical It was wrong and I thought it was broken. Also the connectors for the battery terminals are too small for standard screw on terminals and you have to install new connectors"

"I am head of opperations for the Cooper Cith High School Band. We bought the winch(8/07) to load our 1250 lbs band podium into our tractor/trtailer. We used it about 10 times last year 5 to load, 5 to unload. Our season runs from Sept-Nov. Used it 4 times so far this year then it shorted out. My recommendation buy the insurance."

Truss Lifter,

By Hawkk

"Designed a truss lifter using the WARN Works® 1700 DC Powered Utility Winch. The lift can reach 20 ft and is attached to John Deere 318 Garden Tractor. The remote power feed in and out is operated from the seat of the tractor. Great little winch!"

WARN 1700 DC Winch,

By Petie

"This is a super small DC winch for the price. I purchased it to pull our pontoon boat out of the lake in the fall and use PVC pipe to roll it on. This winch took this job on without any problems and made a hard job very easy. Have also used to drag large trees out of the woods back to where they can be cut up for splitting and firewood. A great little winch that has performed very well on any job I have asked it to do."

"I have used three of these winches on quads in conjunction with snow plows that I build. I appreciate the removable control lead since it doesn't clutter up the handle bar when not in use. The winch itself performs wonderfully. The operator has a great deal of fine tuning control, and the internal load brake locks down instantly."

Nice little winch,

"I purchased this winch to use with my flat bed trailer. I would have been better off to order one with more capacity, but this one works just fine when you double the power with a pulley block."
