"I bought the winch to replace a hand winch in my boat house. It was initially difficult to mount the base of the winch to the studs but eventually was able to get it working correctly. It has worked wonderfully at pulling up the boat on the platform smoothly. Also since it was installed we have gotten a newer, heavier, and longer boat. The winch is still able to pull in the boat without difficulty. It is also an arm and back saver compared to using the hand winch."
