"I used the winch in an unconventional way. I needed to pull some heavy docks up onto the shore across about 100' of rocky beach. I mounted the winch to a hunk of 4x4, lashed the 4x4 to a big pine tree, and plugged it in to an outside outlet using a 100' heavy duty lead. My daughter worked the remote button while two of use "helped" the dock sections along with crude rollers and a pry. We observed the 2 minute limitation on continuous use,so the job took some time, but it worked! I did find some cable pinch on rewind, but I think that was because of the unstable monting I was using. Good product, and worth the $ even if I only use it once a year."
