Solid wirefeed unit.,

"I've had this welder for about a year, and I'm happy with it so far. I've done a couple of repairs at home and some small prototype jobs at work with it, and it's held up fine. I've done flux & gas, both work fine. Beads are pretty clean using gas.
Haven't done anything thicker than 1/8" yet, so I don't really know what its upper limits are yet. I have used it on thin (.040-.050) sheet metal with pretty good success, on a low heat setting."

good for light use,

"i use this welder for fixing things and making rollcages and bumpers for rc cars. it works well overall and is plenty adjustable for most people but a little lower power settingwould be good and a more precise adjustment like a dial. the wire speed is pretty good and fairly consistant unless at low speed and it hesitates a little bit sometimes.something to better keep the wire spool from getting loose and spinning, getting the wire everywhere would be good but not to hard to get right. i have welded 3/4 inch steel but it takes a lot of passes and takes a while. overall this welder is a very good value and i would reccomend to anyone."

"I got the welder to build go carts for my kids, I have one just about done and so far it has done a good job welding EMT conduit with gaps. I think for the money it was a good investment for small projects in the garage"

"Have had welder for about a year and so far the gun has malfunctioned (took apart and fixed) and now it has quit all-together.Power comes on but when i pull the trigger i get a clicking sound ,that's all. Suspect it's the circuit board. No power to the roller motor."

Sweet MIG welder,
April 14, 2008
By Dave350

"I bought this MIG welder after the recommendation of a friend who does quite a bit of welding at work. He told me this model would be good for just about everything I would ever want to weld. Even though it isn't rated for 1" steel, I welded a 1" thick Ford 7N tractor bumper back together at a broken joint. I ground out the spot I was going to weld so I could weld deep then over top. It looked pretty good (for a beginner) but I had no idea how it would hold. Two weeks later my buddy with the tractor came in to work and proceded to tell me how he got his 7N stuck in the mud up to the tops of the rear tires. He yanked on the 7N bumper with his 1 ton Ford truck. He told his son -in -law that he didn't want to tell me because he thought my head would swell up."

Nothern Tool MIG 125 Amp Welfer,
January 21, 2008

"This welder worked perfectly right out of the box. There was a minimum amount of assembly and the instructions were easy to follow. My level of expertise is novice at best. I have used this welder to weld about eight 2 3/8" OD X .188" thick steel pipe joints. Each joint looks better. I've got about 150 more joints to go. Can't wait for the weather to clear so I can get to work again. I borrowed my neighbors welder to see if MIG welding was something I could do. This welder is working as well as my neighbors welder that cost twice as much. I just need practice to get my weld quality up to the quality level of the MIG 125 AMP welder."
