Review, Hobart Mig Conversion Kit,
November 17, 2008
By N67HVN

"I purchased this kit to upgrade a no-name competitors Mig welder. The welder in question was a free flowing design that wasted a lot of gas between welds. Adding this kit was a very easy retro-fit that converted the welder to a trigger controlled flow design."

"I have a Handler 125 and purchased this in addition to it to make it more versatile for me in my use of it..........kinda thought it was going to be a real pain to install.........I was pleasantly surprised, with te removal of a few screws from the case and very basic tools i had the kit installed in minutes and working in no time at all!!........made it like i bought another welder.......with the argon hooked up it made much nicer welds and it was a breeze to set up"

"Flux core welding is very sufficient, but mig is so much cleaner, smoother, and has so much less spatter. Excellent kit for the money. Would highly reccommend to anyone."

"It was very simple to install, and works just fine. Its definately worth the money to not have to deal with using flux-core wire all the time."

No surprises. Good, Solid, Straight forward,

"Well, nothing fancy really. The manufacturer's description is very accurate. Installation was pretty straight forward and simple. Product works as it should in every way, no let-downs. The only inaccuracy is that, if you know what you're doing, you can weld a bit thinner than 22ga!"
