miracle clamp,

"This is a tool I have been looking for, for a long time. I have used visegrips, c-clamps, a combination of both, but still did not come close to achieving my goal of joining two pieces at a 90 deg angle. With the Northern Industrial Angle clamp with V-jaws I can clamp two pieces together and know that I will have a perfect fit every time. There are times when we all need a third hand, but with this clamp you don't. I would recommend this tool to my friends."

Clamp Needs Work,
March 19, 2008

"I will be able to use this clamp on angle iron when I have a machinist modify it because the inserts are not flush with the base of the clamp. I have the insert slots lowered a bit so that the inserts are flush. Also, there are no instructions on how to use it regarding the inserts, but I figured it out. When it is being machined, I will have it squared true as well (I assume it is out of square). The cheapy thin sheet metal screw ends could use a little beefing up as well, possibly with a sliding block - again for use on angle iron. BUT, I guess for the price, who can complain?"

"This clamp is heavy duty. You will not go wrong welding anything at precise 90 degree angle. The price is great compared to comprable tools."

Welding Angle Clamp with V-Jaws,
September 22, 2007
By Toolmaker

"The surfaces on my clamp are not parallel and require macining. Having a clamp of this nature would be better suited if the profile were much lower. Not able to use the clamp for a specific job it was purchased for. The quality is fairly excellent of material and ease of operation. There is always room for improvement. Reducing the height by 2 or so inches would make an incredible product. One must first identify a problem before a solution can be offered. Reducing the height and creating a flat parallel surface would allow the clamp to be used on a welding table, the specific job it was purchased for."

"Heavy weight, good product for the price. Could work a little smoother out of the box, but with some use they will be fine."

Northern Industrial Welding Angle Clamp/V-Jaws,
March 6, 2007
By JLKSS

"Although this clamp is advertised as a welding clamp, I have found it very adaptable to my wood working when I am glueing 45 degree wood joints which are unequal in thickness. I also gave a set to my friend who does a lot of metal fabrication on race cars and custom exhaust work. They are very sturdy in comparison to some of the picture frame clamps I had previously used. They have a quality finish which seems to be preventing rust from accumulating. The price of this item is unusually low considering the long-lasting quality you are receiving. A set of these clamps is a reasonable addition to any do-it-yourselfer or professional craftsman. You won't be disappointed in your purchase."
