Outstanding pump, January 20, 2008
By kittycat from Northern Colorado

"I needed a pump to siphon water from an underground irrigation system on an 80 acre hay field. The slope of the land caused the water to drain to the bottom and unless all the water was removed, the system would have frozen and been damaged. I tried a couple of different pumps and after two weeks of experimenting, I finally came upon the Wayne Portable Pump. The pump worked great and within a couple of hours, I had the entire system drained."

Needs a switch, November 3, 2009
By abqcabinetguy from Tijeras, NM

"Great pump. I use it to transfer water from rain barrels located around my property at different outbuildings. I did build a plywood base with 2x2 skids underneath to get the pump off the ground and I also jigsawed a handhold to make it easier to pick up and move around. The only real complaint I have is that it has no on/off switch. It would seem to be a no brainer to put an inline switch on the cord. Couldn't raise the price by much and I would have gladly paid the extra for the switch. I will probably put my own in but it would have been nice to have a factory installed job. Other than that I am well pleased with the performance and quality."

Close, but not perfect, June 1, 2009
By Gardini from Idaho

"Develops serious pressure with a decent flow rate. Using it to water garden from a reservoir with a 5/8 inch hose, makes short work of the task.

The one knock I would level is it's not tolerant of outdoor conditions, so keep it protected. The motor is vented on the bottom of the case; a perfect entry point for water, bugs, and dirt. This pump would be complete if manufactured to be weather resistant."

Wayne water pump, November 18, 2008
By lcuniques from Whitman NE

"This little pump works great. It is not fast but will do the job. I used it to pump out a stock tank. The only problem is the screen they send with it needs a female thread to go on the right end of a garden hose. I had to make my own screen."

"I use this item to pump water approximately 150' (and 20' uphill elevation) from rain barrels to a garden. The pressure at the garden is excellent."

Poor Quality, August 14, 2008
By rmcd from Tallahassee FL

"I used the pump to pump water from a lake to water a small lawn. I ran the pump for three weeks at 2 hours per day and one of the brushes started arcing and the pump quit running."

Good, Reliable Pump for Farm & Ranch, August 11, 2008
By BrettG from Wickenburg, AZ

"I bought this pump to empty stock tanks, and it does that job very efficiently. It's built like a tank, and will gladly run off of my inverter all day. There is one thing you want to keep in mind, though. If you're planning on using it to suck out tanks, you're going to need a suction-rated hose. It will collapse a standard hose, and it gets worse as it gets warmer outside. I can't fault it for having too powerful a suction, though. We've been very pleased with this pump."
