Great pump for the money.,
November 19, 2008
By JamesPG37from SUFFOLK COUNTY,NEW YORK
"I had searched for a pump to remove water from my inground swimming pool cover. I didn't want to pay over $75.00 and needed it to be efficient because during the winter months it is not always possible to use.I found this pump to be very efficient and the cost was reasonable."

Excellent recirculating pump,
November 18, 2008
By TimE30from San Diego, CA
"I use this pump to recirculate ice water through a copper heat exchanger, chilling newly made beer before I ferment it. This pump works extremely well and allows me to save gallons of water and speed up the brewing day. It has held up extremely well over the last 2 years and I expect it to give me many more years, and many batches of beer, of great service."

Good pump for the money,

By Anonymous Reviewerfrom New York
"Very good pump for the money. Reasonably quiet, fit and finish was excellent. The only thing I didn't like was the plastic adapters, but they seem sturdy enough and they did not leak."

Northern Industrial Submersible Pump,
November 17, 2008
By Tomdanfrom Fairfax Station, Virginia
"These are great pumps; you cannot beat them for the price. One good feature is that you can screw a standard garden hose onto the pump. I bought one pump to empty the water from our swimming pool cover and I liked the pump so well I bought another one to pump out fountain basins when I clean them out in the spring. This little pump was also a great help when I was putting in a garden pond and it kept raining. With this little pump, I was able to keep out all the unwanted rain water out of my excavation site. Thank you Northern Tool!"

Poor Quality Construction,
August 21, 2008
By Cottrofrom Connecticut
"I purchased 2 of these pumps. In both cases the bottom screen cracked and pieces fell off - causing the pump to easily clog. If this part was better made these would have been an excellent buy - but with a broken bottom screen they are only good for picking up clear water."

Submersible Pump - 1/8 HP,
August 15, 2008
By clancefrom Ruidoso, NM
"I have a cistern water supply system for my primary residence. Once or twice a year I may have to haul water to keep the system operational. I do this with a 220 gallon tank in the back of an old suburban. It takes 10 minutes to fill the tank at an artesian well. Because the storage tanks are under the house I have to back the suburban over rocks and around trees to get as close as I can. I use a 3/4 inch garden hose and gravity to empty the tank. It takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. With this pump I use the same hose and park the suburban in the driveway. It takes 15 minutes to empty the tank. It makes life a little easier. The pump works as advertized."

"This things works no matter what puddle I have thrown it in! Rainwater pump out is why I bought it and it does that well. I have used it on every water movement task you can think of, including muddy water, and it keeps on hummin'."

Submersible pump,
August 11, 2008
By WannabeHandyManfrom Flemington, NJ
"I was in need of a submersible pump to deliver water through a 3/8 inch tube that fed a nozzle hooked to a water slide from my pool. The slide is about 10 feet high and I was worried that the pump may not have the pressure to deliver an adequate flow through the small tube. However, this pump worked great and kept a good stream of water flowing down the slide. I'll also be using it to drain water off the pool cover in the winter. The pump can pump out the cover down to an eight of an inch which should be good enough. I tried it on my solar cover and it worked great. I would recommend it to any one needing a cheap pump. The delivery went without a hitch and I received it in about 4 days with standard shipping."

Great pump for the price,
August 11, 2008
By Howardxfrom Willingboro, NJ
"The pump came with several adapters so it was easy to find a compatible hose to use with it. I needed the pump to drain an outdoor fountain for routine cleaning - I didn't care if it took a few minutes to get all the water out. Instead, it was emptied in about 5 seconds - I was amazed at the speed and the pressure. The pump does come with precautions that it is not intended for continuous use but it does meet my needs perfectly."

Great little pump!,
August 11, 2008
By Fjordstonefrom Malvern, PA
"We've had pumps for our pool cover before -- this is the pump we use to keep the water level down during the winter, so we don't get water (and thus ice) on the cover -- but usually they quit after a season, and they don't work very well overall. This pump was excellent from the get-go. It pumps water amazingly fast and efficiently, and the construction makes us think it's going to last a good long time. A great value, and a great purchase."
