High Pressure Water Pump,
October 5, 2008

"I bought this water pump to operate a Rain Bird Series 65 sprinkler by pumping out of a creek on our property. I am very pleased with this pump. It is easy to operate and came with excellent instructions. Fill it with oil and gas, prime it, pull the starter, and it starts pumping. It shoots about a 60 ft. spray arc from the sprinkler. This pump was reasonably priced and works well. I like the fact that NorthStar uses a cast iron impeller versus cheaper plastic ones on other units that I looked at. It runs for about 2.5 hours on a tank of gas."

"Had pump for short time, but used it several times already to fill water tanks and spray seeded areas. Pump works great. Engine starts easy and runs like a champ."

NorthStar High Water Pump,
October 15, 2007

"We purchased the first pump approximately a year ago for fire protection at our cabins. After using the pump while we were burning slash piles, we were amazed at how well it performed. The gas engine started easily from the first time and the pump self-primed after less than a minute. Bottom line, this unit is one of the best purchases that we have ever made, in fact we now own two of these as we bought the second one this year. Heartily recomment this item."

A capable little pump,

"I purchased this pump to use for fire control while burning brushpiles on my timber property. It is the lightest 2" pump I've ever used. It started and primed easily, and with the 1.5" nozzle available from the Northern catalog, shot an impressive stream of water 80'. It has, so far, exceeded my expectations in every way. It's even quiet!"

SEM-50V Pump with mitsubishi engine,

"The engine is the pits . Runs less than 5 minutes and dies. New engine , new fuel , new oil , no run . Totally useless for the ranch built grass fire truck it was bought for. Now I have to get a different pump . It will pump about 80 gallons and dies . Over 200 miles to town to get another pump ."
