"I PURCHASED OUR FIRST TARP 4 YEARS AGO. WE HAVE USED IT FOR 4 SUMMERS AS A WEATHER CANOPY AT OUR LAKE CAMPSITE. THE TARP SPENDS AT LEAST 6 CONTINUOS MONTHS A YEAR OUT IN THE WEATHER, WE WILL PUT IT UP AGAIN NEXT SPRING. BECAUSE WE LIKE IT SO MUCH, LAST SUMMER I WENT AHEAD AND PURCHASED ANOTHER ONE (JUST TO BE SURE WE HAD ONE) TO USE WHENEVER OUR FIRST ONE WEARS OUT. WE LIKE IT BECAUSE IT NOT ONLY KEEPS US DRY, BUT IT KEEPS IT COOLER UNDERNEATH BY REFLECTING THE HEAT. I HAVE ALREADY RECOMENDED IT TO SOME OF OUR FRIENDS."

Does not last long,
May 20, 2008
By WalkAndTalk
from Central Eastern Washington

"Up until now, I have purchased these yearly. Originally, they seemed to last in our winds, hot summers, cold winters, and strong sun for about two years. The last two years, they have only lasted one year. All of them eventually ripped down the center, and flaked. In strong sunlight, especially if in a windy area (I keep mine tight - but not too tight), these will not last long. Maybe in a different environment."

Great products, great prices...,

"I've been buying big plastic tarps as boat covers for years. The quality is consistently excellent, and the price has been not only stable, but lower than any big-box hardware store in my area. I intend to continue to buy products from Northern T & E. Thank you."

siver/black tarp,
November 1, 2007
By dbgfreeusa

"This is my favorite tarp. We own several tarps from lightweight 20' by 30' green tarps that we use to cover our tents and "kitchen" area when camping, smaller blue tarps that we use when raking up leaves and grass in our yard, and my favorite silver/black tarp. I save it for heavier-duty jobs such as covering limbs and debris that we are hauling to the dump. Because of it's heavier weight, the silver/black tarp is very hard to tear. Wind will not cause it to shred and the tie-down points are much stronger than the lightweight grommets found on most tarps. It is about as close to water-proof as you can get without paying a much higher price. This tarp is more expensive than the single layer tarps, but if you want or need a dependable tarp with very heavy duty tie-down points, a tarp that is virtually water-proof and a heavier weight tarp that will not fray while covering cargo on the highway, this tarp could be just what you are looking for too."

Not that great,

"For the past three years I've used these tarps to cover a 25 foot boat. They withstand the wind great, but they can't take the hot sun. I have to buy one on average every six to eight months. In the heat they begin to flake silver pieces everywhere and then tear. I'm going to try a pvc tarp next."

"I purchased several of these tarps, different sizes. They are QUALITY. They have withstood the 50-60 mph wind gusts all winter without one tear. I would recommend these tarps to anyone considering purchasing them. A great value and the price is unbeatable."
