"The post fits our need to mark curb islands for snowplows. However, the base doesn't seem to keep th post upright in windy conditions (we tried "gluing" it down with polyurethane caulk, but it didn't stay). Also, truck traffic knocks it over and crushes the post. We used to have PVC posts attached to a flexible rubber bladder that would spring back up after being run over, but I couldn't get them anymore (even those would occasionally be torn off by truck & bus dual tires). I added antoher base, securing it to the 1st base with screws, which helped, but it still ended up on the ground. I'm open to any other suggestions. P.S. I like the fact that the top of the post is enclosed to keep out moisture, etc."
