"All I can say is don't buy this. I have 1.5 acres, and was hoping for a faster way to cut the large open spaces. As others have said, the reels don't turn half the time, and it requires constant attention. My mower would slip on any noticable incline, and I had to stop, unhook, and pull it back to more level ground. Eventually, three of the reels broke. I contacted Pro-Mow, and was told I was pulling it too fast. If you don't pull at a decent speed, the reels barely turn, and then you don't save any time. I eventually gave up, and bought a standard lawnmower. If I hadn't bought this, I would have had 00 extra to spend on a really good riding mower. Great concept, really bad execution. Too bad, because this is a "made in America" product, and I want to support that whenever possible."

"Whether smooth or rough terrain, the mowers just don't spin all the time. I am alwyas having to re-mow sections that one of the reels misses as they never all work. As other reviewer noted, poor quality, poor design. This thing needs CONSTANT attention. I don't think I could give this away let alone resell it knowing how poorly it works.
I spend more time getting on and off the mower to fix the gang reels than mowing. Very frustrating."

"the gang reel mower has a 1/2" piece of metal that floats in the pawl and is suppose to lock in place going forward, turning the reel, and it drops out of lock position going backward so the reel does not turn. Well this stupid setup insures that going forward your lucky if 3 of the 5 reels are turning at the same time. That little piece of metal is so finicky its sickining. It would be better if it was locked on forward at all times. At least it would mow the lawn."
