Best pump for the money,
August 23, 2008
By Kevin5170

"I bought this pump to empty one of the ponds on my land and it did the job well. After using the pump a few times I decided to add a fire nozzel to the pump and use it for controling the fire when we had burn pile on the property. We always burn close to a pond so we put one end in the pond and started the pump, wet the area and then light the fire, any time it starts getting out of control we would then restart the pump and get the fire back under control. Works like a champ and best of all not more calling the Fire Department!!!!!"

Well worth the money!,

"I purchased this pump to spray my salt piles with a liquid de-icer. Before I could put it to use for it's intended purpose, we experienced torrential rains that flooded my basement. The pump fired up on the first pull and emptied my basement in record time. I am very pleased with this pump and recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable, powerful pump."

water pumps that work,
August 18, 2008
By kowboyzd1

"we use this pump on the ranch for both irrigation and water drainage. in the wet months we use it to move water from saoked paature tro resiovor area. in the dry time of year we use it to talke from ther resiovor and supply the dry area so our livestock has flush grass all year long. this pump sits outisde in the elments covered only by a plastic box. after 3 years of service it still starts with 1 pull and pushes and pulls as if it was just unpacked. what more could you want in a pump. we here at the circle -s-ranch swear by this product."

Incoming Water,
April 23, 2008
By Deepwater
from Oran, Missouri
|
"The two sump pumps in my basement could not keep up with the incoming water after 13 inches of rainfall over a two days time period. The North Star transfer pump I had ordered from Nothern Tool for this type of emergency saved the day! The pump is light enough that I could carry it outside to the basement window and filled the tank with gasoline. My wife ran the inlet hose to the sump pump hole in the basement and connected it to the pump and started the transfer pump with one pull of the rope! The transfer pump ran for two hours and took away all the water in my basement. I am very pleased and impressed by this pump!"

Trash Pump,
April 23, 2008
By RWCleary
from Newburyport, MA

"Starts easy. Works great. Moves a lot of water effortlessly. It is heavy fairly heavy, especially for those of us with back problems. (think about buying the wheel kit). Also, the welds on the cage failed rather quickly but that was an easy fix."

Northstar semi-trash pump,
April 21, 2008
By Geo2533
from Edina, MN
|
"Our Northstar pump worked great. We only had one problem with the starting rope which broke rendering the pump useless. The rope retracted into the housing making it very difficult to restring in a remote location. I did finally get it restrung but it was a few inches shorter causing the pump to be more difficult to start. I think the starting ropes should be of a higher quality non-fray material."
