A Very Fine Heater at a Good Price,
March 7, 2007
By outafocus

"I bought a similar heater that cost me twice as much money ten years ago. It was very good, and gave me just a few minor problems over the years. It finally gave up the ghost on one of the coldest days this past winter, and I scurried to find another one. I couldn't find one anywhere. Thanks to the Internet, I found Northern Tools sold a similar heater, and I was shocked that the price was so low. I ordered it online, and was pleasantly surprised when it was delivered. It was MUCH nicer than the one it replaced, both aesthetically, and in workmanship. When I fired it up, I was amazed at the better heat distribution this unit had over my old one.
I heartily recommend the ProCom heater."

Stand for LP unvented gas heater,
August 11, 2008
By Wibb
from CT
|
"The stand (feet) for the stove were fine with one exception: you can't follow the instructions for set up of the stove because the feet don't lift the stove high enough off the floor. My installer solved the problem by ignoring the instructions to make a water/dirt trap in the plumbing of the heater. Either the instructions need to be changed, or the stand needs to be higher."

"These "feet" for the heater work just fine and are easy to attach. If you aren't going to wall-mount the heater, I'd say they are required."

"THE BASE IS TWO CHEAP PLASTIC FEET WITH NO MOUNTING HARDWARE OR INSTRUCTIONS DETAILING HOW TO ATTACH OR POSITION THEM. NOT WORTH THE MONEY, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN."

"I work for my brother who is a paint contractor. We paint new homes and in the winter it can get rather cool in the house.
In new houses when we are painting I can easily move it from room to room and keep that area warm.
I also use the heater in my shop but did not want to mount it so I got the bases so it could be portable. I have used in my shop with great results. The heater stays level and is not easily turned over."

"Looks nice and also works very well. Heat output is very warm... has the ability to keep our 900 sq ft home warm in the Canadian winter if run on its own."
