Just what I needed.,
May 18, 2008
By PyxienTX

"As a woman going camping, we need a lot of stuff. I bought this receiver for a cargo carrier and a bike rack, plus on my 06 Wrangler, I needed the extension because of my oversized spare. Even with the dual receiver, the rear door opens with enough room to spare. We went about 500 miles with no issues, except it has quite a bit of play in my hitch receiver. I bought one at a trailer store for more money and had a worse problem with it being loose. Overall, it is worth the money and a good product."

"This is a pretty neat idea, I have had it for about 4 years now maybe used it 3 times but it is always there for those special towing needs, it is well built from heavy gauge metal, with a good finish on it. The times I did use it were with a bike carrier and a hitchhauler, I was able to carry 5 bikes and some small coolers etc."

Strong Constitution,

"Wow! Built like a rock only better. Upside is strength and versaltility. You can use it upside down, right side up or even sideways (not truly recommended though).
I ran into two issues, one is that because it added length if also lowers the tongue weight and changes the center of gravity so watch the handling.
Second, depending on how I used it I sometimes could not lower my tailgate all the way but with some forethought even that can be avoided. Great tool for the arsenal."

Buyers Dual Hitch Extension,
January 16, 2008
By Cort
from Conway, NH
|
"I bought this to raise the height of my Buyers salt spreader when attached to my vehicle. Each time I used the spreader before installing the Buyers Dual Hitch Extension I would hit the spreader motor on the end of the driveway, denting the motor till I eventually broke the motors shaft. Since I ended up replacing the spreader motor from all the "hits" I thought I should somehow raise up the spreader. Even though it's not the intended use for Buyers Dual Hitch Extension it worked great, not only did it raise up the spreader and stop the hitting, it also gave me a greater "spreading" distance. As for it's intended use it also preformed great! It allowes me to tow my trailer while keeping the spreader attached."

No more crawling under my truck,
July 9, 2007
By KenG0529
from Phillipsburg, Mo.

"This duel hitch extension has saved me from having to get under my truck to unlock my hitch so that it could be turned over to pull trailers with higher hitches. It has also made it easier to back trailers by putting more space between the trailer and my bumper. The only drawback that I have found is that I now have to get longer safety chains."
