A drill for all time,
April 17, 2008

"I have several drills and needed one to keep in the house for the family to use. My wife said it is easy to handle, not too heavy and does not have the "kick" that my larger drills have. It is the ideal drill to give to the student leaving home or the new apartment dweller. A fine product again from Northern."

Northern Electric Drill,

"I bought this drill because i hate rechargeable drills. I was amazed at the quality of this drill and the ease of use. I no longer have to charge up batteries to do small jobs around the house and frustrate myself when they die half way through the job. I love the way this tool feels in my hand and it's just a joy to use. It has an extra long cord so most of the time i don't need an extension cord and it has plenty of power to spare as well. If your like me, a home owner and hate the rechargeable drills, i would recommend this drill to you and you'll love it."

"This is a low cost drill that reflects its price. The chuck and key are hard to use and the key is difficult to store on the cord. The trigger does not control the RPM very well."

Outstanding Value,

"This is an all around wonderful drill for a super price. Another reviewer mentioned the variable speed of the drill motor is controlled by a dial and not the trigger. This isn't true. The speed of the drill motor is controlled in a conventional manner by the distance the trigger is pulled. The reviewer's confusion might have stemmed from the fact that there's a small adjustment dial located directly behind the trigger which serves to limit the distance the trigger can be pulled. This indirectly limits the maximum speed of the drill motor to whatever is desired by the user. It's a handy feature actually. Two thumbs up!"

"This is a great drill for the price! I had a Makita drill once with the same case design and liked it a lot. It is a well balanced drill and the variable speed is built into the trigger. I gave this drill as a Christmas gift and the recipient was very happy with it."

"I do not like the variable speed feature because it is not controlled from the trigger. You need to change a dial. Maybe that is why the price is so low!!"

3/8-inch Electric Drill,

"Wow, what a deal! I thought this was a great deal. An excellent price for a great drill. I shopped around before coming to Northern but when they even paid for the shipping I figured I couldn't go wrong. And they even threw in a one year warranty on the product. I would recommend anyone give this product a second and third look before going somewhere else!!!"
