Briggs & Stratton Intek 5.5 HP Engine, July 9, 2007

"This engine was purchased to replace a seized unit on an hydraulic wood
splitter. It arrived - with standard shipping - within three or four
working days of my order - and this was over the Fourth of July
holidays. We installed the unit out of the box, filled the oil reserve,
gassed it up and - "voila" - it started on the second pull of the cord.
It has been running without any problems since. I couldn't be more
pleased."

"I have been very happy with this engine. It is being used as a replacement on my 4 tine, chain driven RotoTiller. The engine has excelent torque, starts very easily and the noise level is low enough that it doesn't annoy the neighbors. The engine operates very well under load while maintaining a constant, steady RPM. When I purchased the engine, I had the intent of swapping it back and forth between the rototiller and my kid's go-cart. Although it has plenty of power, I found that the stiff throttle controls of the engine will not adapt to the trottle controls of the Go-Cart without modification (Which I opted not to do)"
