A good pull behind rough cut mower for a Quad, January 21, 2008

"I purchased this mower 2 years ago and mow about 2 acres about 4-times per year. So far I am satisfied with the unit and would reccommend it. The unit is very durable. Heavy guage metal, I was impressed compared to what most lawn equipment manufacturers use. I have only had two issues that are negative. I have sharpened the blades twice and It is very difficult because of the weight of the unit. You have to raise the unit up enough to crawl under and then remove the blades. Might sound easy but it takes some doing without a hoist or lift. I ended up using a hydraulic jack and then blocked the unit so I could crawl under. Oh well can't have everything.

The other comment is that I puchased the hand pull starter and the screen to cover the crank did not last thru the first season. Too light weight. I just removed it and all is well."

"This baby really kicks. Good, quick start with the battery. Cuts great. Tows well. Would highly recommend.
Only downfall is; it doesn't cut on slopping terrain very well, but what mower does?"

"The mower is well build but be aware the engine does not have a pressured oil system or fuel pump. The fuel feed works off gravity and the oil is a splash lube system; this is the bad part if you have property to cut that exceeds 15 degree incline. My mower came with the gas tank encloser missing. NT was very quick to get the missing part. A rough cut trail mower should be a rough cut trail mower regardless of the terrian."
