Great add on for Mr. Buddy heater.,

"I used this hose to hook up my Mr. Buddy heater in my cabin. The heater used up the one pound cylinders very rapidly, but with the hose and a 20 pound tank, the heater will run for days without refilling."

"I purchased this to go with a heater for my son for Christmas. He loves the fact that it is long enough to keep the heater away from the tank (he used to be a volunteer fireman and a fireman in the Air Force). Safety first!"

"Good hose. I like that you don't need a wrench to tighten it.
I believe that you need the hose with a regulator on it for the larger heater."

Inadequate directions,
January 14, 2008
By Rogy

"It appears to be a fine product, but I still haven't figured out what the "star wheel" device attached to this is for. It appears to be a hand-tightening device, but the hex "socket" doesn't fit anything. Other than this, it is fine. I would have liked not to have use tools to tighten it. However, since this is for a gas device that I will only use periodically, I suppose I can live with it."

Propane extension hose.,
October 8, 2007
By mred207

"The 12' extension hose is an essential part of our equipment for camping. We do a lot of cooking on our portable gas grill and found that it was a real problem trying to remember to keep the little propane bottles on hand. You use one of the small bottles up in a week of cooking. But with 30# propane bottles on our 25' travel trailer anyway, it's as easy to use the extension hose as it would be to mess with the small bottles and there's nothing to remember. I just keep the hose stowed with the other essential items in our storage compartment and I always have propane for our gas grill."

Ya gotta have it!,

"I ordered this 12ft hose when I got my 'Buddy' heater. For serious heating, I knew I had to have more gas than the small bottles provided. These are great for camping trips where you just want to heat up the tent in the morning, but when you want to heat up the shop on those mornings (and days!) when the temps are in the 'warm jacket' range, this hose connected to the barbecue tank will fill the bill. It's a MUST HAVE."

Get this connector!,

"The first use of my Big Buddy was with a 1lb propane cylinder. Got about 9 hours of 65deg heat on medium which is fine when the outside temp was about 40deg. But when I hooked it up with this 12' connector to a 20lb propane tank, well, lets just say it was still running on high when all the power came back on many hours later. And I was able to keep the tank outside the window for safety, and run the 12' hose through a cracked window stuffed w/a towel. If you buy the big buddy, just go ahead and invest in the 12' hose instead of the 6'. You'll be glad you did when the power is out, or if you need to heat your garage. Don't want to have the tank indoors, and the 6' won't reach from the ground to a window then down to the floor inside."

Works really well!,
March 6, 2007

"I purchased this hose to go with my Mr. Heater Big Buddy and it works great. Using the hose to hook up the heater to a 20lbs cylinder is so much more convenient opposed to using a ton of the 1lbs propane cylinders… Cost effective too! If you are buying a Mr. Heater- you HAVE to get one of these as well, you will thank me later! =)"
