Hydraulic tank bad treads,
November 18, 2008
By craig1696from Philly, Pa
"The tank all in all looked good but the treads where cut off center and un usable. I welded a new coupling to make the tank usable. The fill and breather cap is hard to take on and off. I got a bad one, I can't say if it was a fluke or not."

Nice tank for hydraulic projects,
June 13, 2008
By KubotaGuyfrom Eleva, WI
"This tank is well made, and the ports are appropriately sized. I used it to make an additional separate hydraulic system for my Kubota tractor, so I can run bobcat-style skid steer attachments with it. The PTO-driven pump (item #1050) is a good match, and is what I used. The large port is perfect for suction strainer item #4010, and I'd recommend using it. You'll likely need a relief valve (check out item #2045), and may also want to consider return filter item #4022. I like NorthernTool because they have basically everything you need to build something like this."

HYDRAULIC TANK FOR SPLITTER,
April 22, 2008
By farmer26from feeding hills,ma
"SMALL IN SIZE BUT EXCELLENT SHAPE FOR SPLITTER. GIVES THE EXTRA CAPACITY NEEDED FOR PROLONGED COMPONENT LIFE.GIVES THE ADVANTAGE TO INCREASE PUMP VOLUME AND CYLINDER SIZE FOR INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY. TANK VOLUME INCREASED ALSO MEANS MORE COOLING TIME FOR FLUID."
