Almost well built,
May 15, 2008

"The wagon is almost well built.
The handle is too short for a 6' individual. I had to build an extension for it.
The biggest pain is that the tires keep deflating. When they do, it is very difficult to get them inflated again beause the tire walls become detached from the rim. I've had to take them to a garage twice in the past couple of years after spending much time trying to squeese the tires out to the rim myself.
Also the side boards need a peg of some sort to hold them in.
If you get it, keep an eye on the tire preassure and be ready to build an extension if you are tall."

Solid - and Fun!,

"Like others, we bought this wagon 6 yrs ago to pull our kids and various cargo loads. We've hauled up to four large lawn bags, 800-1000 lbs of pavers, large chunks of tree trunk, and many other odd things, as well as pulling the kids two miles and back to our farmer's market. I've even rigged it up as a bike trailer to haul logs out of woods nearby with my mountain bike. - The wagon is quite solid. We've never had a problem with the base and suspension of this wagon. No load we've tried has been a problem for it. - 10 inch tires are a bit small for moving large loads off of pavement. - We had to add a piece of rubber tubing to the handle to make it comfortable enough to pull, but this was easy to do. - The wooden sides are well worth the extra money. - It's big enough for a small child to fall asleep in!"

Hefte Hauler Wagon,

"My first purchase from Northern, for the grandkids, twelve years ago. Well I can't tell you how many times I've used it for my yard projects and it recently saved me when I had a load of shingles for my garage. Instead of hand carrying one bundle at a time, I balanced eight on this wagon!! No spill with the steering and no tipping out the little ones as with a regular wagon. The sides are a little too easy for smaller children to remove so I stuck a stainless screw into each one. My wagon still looks brand new."

Thumbs Up!,

"This wagon is a well-built piece of equipment and is an excellent value for the money. I expect it will last for years, and my only regret is not getting it years ago.
I've used it for pulling my kids and their associated gear to the pool as well as used it to haul tools and building materials around a worksite. Both were a pleasure.
The inflated rubber tires make it easy to pull over any surface and the turning axle make it easy to manuever.
I would advise the buyer to review the dimensions of this wagon. If you intend to put it in your car, it might be a tight fit (I've got a truck, though, and wanted the larger size to handle the equipment). Also, it's a bit heavy for my wife to lift, although she loves the way it pulls.

Loved it while it lasted,

"I bought the wagon 4 years ago to haul my small grand-daughters around on city streets. They loved riding in it. The problem is the steering when we want to turn. The wheels get locked up. Also, I had to add large washers to keep the body connected to the frame. It still goes, and the tires are great, but is hard to maneuver. It only gets occasional seasonal use."
