Good steel, not sharp,

"This knife handles very well -- great ergonomic design. Once I got an edge on the blade it seems to hold it very well. I am having difficulty getting the gut hook sharpened. It is quite dull from the factory and it is difficult to work on the edge. I tried it on several deer and reverted back to the old straight knife method. The sweep blade is a wonderful skinning knife and my kids prefer this knife to all others for skinning deer and processing the meat."
