"I found this plasma cutter to be a good value for light gauge steel, stainless, and aluminium. The performance is impressive at the lighter gauges but strugles near it's rated 3/4". If your cutting carbon steel at that thickness you would be better off using an oxy torch. But below 1/2" it makes good clean cuts easly."
