"I got the welder to build go carts for my kids, I have one just about done and so far it has done a good job welding EMT conduit with gaps. I think for the money it was a good investment for small projects in the garage"

"Have had welder for about a year and so far the gun has malfunctioned (took apart and fixed) and now it has quit all-together.Power comes on but when i pull the trigger i get a clicking sound ,that's all. Suspect it's the circuit board. No power to the roller motor."

"The welder does an great job for small projects. It is very easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone. It is easy to set up and use right out of the box. It is portable and easy for just about any one to handle. It can weld just about anything."

Sweet MIG welder,
April 14, 2008
By Dave350

"I bought this MIG welder after the recommendation of a friend who does quite a bit of welding at work. He told me this model would be good for just about everything I would ever want to weld. Even though it isn't rated for 1" steel, I welded a 1" thick Ford 7N tractor bumper back together at a broken joint. I ground out the spot I was going to weld so I could weld deep then over top. It looked pretty good (for a beginner) but I had no idea how it would hold. Two weeks later my buddy with the tractor came in to work and proceded to tell me how he got his 7N stuck in the mud up to the tops of the rear tires. He yanked on the 7N bumper with his 1 ton Ford truck. He told his son -in -law that he didn't want to tell me because he thought my head would swell up."

Nothern Tool MIG 125 Amp Welfer,
January 21, 2008

"This welder worked perfectly right out of the box. There was a minimum amount of assembly and the instructions were easy to follow. My level of expertise is novice at best. I have used this welder to weld about eight 2 3/8" OD X .188" thick steel pipe joints. Each joint looks better. I've got about 150 more joints to go. Can't wait for the weather to clear so I can get to work again. I borrowed my neighbors welder to see if MIG welding was something I could do. This welder is working as well as my neighbors welder that cost twice as much. I just need practice to get my weld quality up to the quality level of the MIG 125 AMP welder."

mig 125 wire feed welder,
January 21, 2008
By surveyor1

"The welder is a good buy for a home handyman or someone who occasionaly welds at home. Would make a great welder for body work. The only thing I did not like about it was that the instructions were not clear. Some parts were missing steps and I had to guess on some parts of the wire feeding process. Minus the unclear directions, it is overall a good welder."

great welder for the money!,
January 21, 2008

"I have not had a chance to use the welder with gas, but the flux wire worked pretty well. Lots of splatter but good weld. Welder is really easy to use - a great welder for beginner. The welding range is really good but be aware that certain metal thicknesses are wire size and/or use of gas specific. Check chart inside welder for this information before you buy. Welder set up is pretty self-explanatory, which is a good thing because the manual and instructions are fairly worthless. Pictures are very poor quality. I really like that this welder uses 110V plug but the instructions say nothing about needing a 30 amp fuse. Welder includes regulator for gas but be aware that it does not have a gauge on it. Overall a great welder especially for the money!"
