"I purchased this hood because of the large filter, this is a fantastic hood . I do fit up in a fabrication shop which involves a lot of tack welds. the filter view area is large so you can weld and check fit and never flip the hood up. I'd say they got it right with this hood"

"After trying many different AD helmets, I have found this one to work the best. I have a big hat size and this one fits me well. The Auto-darkening works great and the large size viewing window really makes it easy to see through."

"Overall a very good helmet for the money - larger than standard view screen makes for easy location of work - a big help in low light situations. Have used the heck out of it since shipper dropped it off - Would recommed this unit for the hobbiest or a p-t welder. Easy fitting - sits nicely on the head -"

"My old helment was antique so I decided on the purchase of a medium priced helment (Mostly home use) but some work use. I shop a good bit at Northern Tool and decided to try this wide view auto darkening helment. I have had this helment for several months now and am pretty sure I made the right choice and so are a lot of my friends and co-workers. I work in a maintenance shop and welding is not our main jobs but everyone wants to borrow my helment. It's very clear and BIG view make it ideal for working under machines as we often do. I do however wish it had a tighten down knob on both sides of the helment. It has never slipped but would feel more secure with two knobs. Great helment."

"For the money I would recommend this helmet to anyone . Northern could have been more detailed on the description of how good the product is. I feel Northern Tool also should have mentioned extra lens covers were available when ordering this helmet. It would have saved me from ordering them at a later date. I found that extra lens covers were available in the catalog after I had already purchased the helmet. Overall - This product is excellent."
