Poor Fireplace,

"After putting it together my wife noticed that one steel side was badly dented and paint chipped off. Carton had been dropped. (it is heavy). Tried to light it. The starter didn't work, had to use a lighter. Fortunately it was warm outside because it didn't put out much heat at all. Seemed like the wind was going to blow out the flame. We boxed it back up and returned it. I don't think it would have lasted outside very long. Very poor construction. Tried to cook some marshmellows. Had to chase the heat and finally got two marshmellows cooked medium. Took ten minutes so you can see or imagine the amount of heat coming out of this thing. Was very disappointed."

"I had been shopping for a firepit for our new gazeebo/deck and knew I didn't want one that used wood. All the propane ones I found were 00 and up. Then I stumbled onto this unit. We hooked it up to our bulk propane tanks. When we did this we found we had to remove the cylinder adaptor from the regulator to get the flame right. It could use more burner, but it's very nice as it is. Converting from table to firepit is easy and the cover sent with it is of good quality. Highly recomended!!"

"i recently purchased the coleman firelight propane fireplace and table......it looks really nice and is a nice concept for people who want a nice fire without all the smoke and ashes........the problem i have with it is that the flame really doesn't get that big......its nice for ambience , but for heat, you would be better off getting something else.......if the company could do something about making the flames a little higher, it just might make a real nice product.....it is my opinion ,that its just not worth the money......."
