"It is really neat and convenient to connect to with the quick connect coupling to the Big Buddy. It adds safety to allowing you to be able to connect it and use the heater safer. This is a wonderful attachment when needing to use the heater for a longer period of time - whereas the small tanks that come with the Heater are great for using during short time spans. It was an "Absolute I have to have item" to go along with my Mr. Heater Big Buddy."

"This item adds a considerable amount of safety to running your Propane Heater off a large tank. The 12 foot hose allows you to have the 20 pound cylinder at a safe distance from the heater, and the regulator keeps too much propane from arriving at the heater. The regulator will also keep most any impurities from leaving the tank making the use of a filter unnecessary if you own your own clean tanks. If you trade in your tanks, you may still want the filter. This is a quality hose and attaches with ease. If it's cold out, remember, it will unroll better if you warm it up first."

Big Buddy heater hose w/regulator,

"I purchased this hose so I no longer had to purchase the 1 lb propane tanks for my heater. The 2 tanks ran about 9 hrs on low setting, but with the hose I can not worry about running out of propane for over 90 hrs while connected to a 20lb tank."

"This 12 ft hose with regulator does two SAFE things for the operators of Mr. Heater Buddy heaters. It allows you to operate your unit with a larger propane tank a safe distance from the unit and it allows you safely use a higher pressure tank with the heater. Using a hose with out a regulator allows to much gas to enter the heater at one time. The built in regulators in the heater cannot safely handle the increased pressure of a larger tank. You waste gas and risk fire or an explosion. Trying to save a couple of bucks, I tried an unregulated hose, NEVER again! The twist connectors makes it easy to make secure connections at the tank and at the heater."

"It's not clear from the description, but this is the best hose option for using with the Big Buddy heater. It has the quick disconnect fitting that makes it easy to connect the heater to a large 20lb tank. It only works on one side of the heater, so if you want to use two tanks you will need one of the other hoses with a filter."
