Makes assembly far easier,

"When I purchased this bracket to mount a 5 hp Honda engine to a Halex 11 GPM pump I was somewhat concerned that things might not work as advertised. My concerns were nullified when I talked with a very nice and very knowledge lady on Northern's order line; she knew the product and all the parameters. You normally don't find that level of service and expertise. I bought the bracket, a perfect fit, couldn't be more pleased."

Worth the money,

"I purchased this to mate a hydrulic pump to an engine for a log splitter. Worked great, the only problem was i didnt purchase the pump and engine from northern, and was guessing on sizes. I got the right size. Just be careful when tightening the mounting bolts, If you go too tight you can tweak the shaft of the motor and the engine will not turn over,"

hydraulic pump mounts,
December 1, 2006
By tmac

"I recently acquired a log splitter that my brother built in the late 70's as a project in welding class. I went about cleaning, putting new hoses on and also a "new" engine which came off of generator I purchased in 1979 after Frederick hit mobile. The problem came with trying to mount the engine to align with the two stage pump I had purchased off of E-bay. I was browsing thru the northern tool catalog in the hydraulic pump section and spotted the hydraulic pump mounts and purchased one. This made the job simpler by being able to install the engine without worrying about alignment. I recommend this to anyone repowering a hydraulic device.
ps buy the optional bolt kit for this mount. saves time trying to find the proper bolts and thread sizes."
