Too many stars,
August 28, 2008
By FordBoyfrom Long Island, NY
"Yes, 1 star is too many. This product will fit both 48" and 60" tailgates, if you don't mind wires hanging down to your bumper. (kind of like a poorly decorated Christmas tree) there is no way to hide them, This obvious knock off of the better made light strips by other companies comes in three pieces, they must be connected to each other with tiny plugs and 6" of connecting cable. The middle piece is about 10" long and only has 1 screw in the middle to connect it to the sticky tape pad. When you hit a bump it will twist, with one side pointing up (in case you want to signal for a lift off) I can't believe more than 5 minutes thought went into the design of this thing. Sorry I wasted the money and the time, you can do better for the same price."

LED Tailgate Fire,
August 11, 2008
By MountainPreacherfrom Squaw Valley CA
"I have seen a lot of rear end collisions lately and I began to wonder how to keep that from happening to me. I know that there is no single product on the market that will keep someone from hitting me from behind but when I saw the LED Tailgate Fire Strip I thought it would at least help. It installed really simply and first of all it looks really good and brightens up the back of my truck. But also it makes my truck a lot more visible from the rear. And I have noticed people behind me looking at that strip of lights that aren’t normally on an F150 so I know they are seeing me better. I would recommend these lights because they look good and because I think they will make your truck more visible to others behind you. I they keep me from getting hit by some who sees them then to me they have done their job."

Great Safety Item,
August 11, 2008
By Farmboy2from Midland, GA.
"The Tailgate Fire Strip is very easy to apply with the attached adhesive strips. Connection to existing trailer electrical hook-up provides immediate power source. The resulting brake light/turn signal lighting is definitely an added attention getter for vehicles following you.. Highly recommend."

Quick install,
May 14, 2008
By Anonymous Reviewerfrom Albuquerque, New Mexico
"The strips were not difficult at all to install. I decided to put them on the top of my van doors, and I had to do some wiring adaptions, but nothing hard, I just reversed the L/R turn signals, because I had to mount the lights up side down. I looks awesome, and has made a difference from people almost rear ending me, because it catches the attention faster, also looks like the new Escalade's how they have a long LED tail light on the back of the roof."

Not bad for the money,
April 21, 2008
By Shaunfrom Pullman, WA
"I recently put a three inch body lift on my truck and needed something to fill the gap. I made up a piece of diamond plate to put in there and thought this light bar would be a nice touch. My first impression was that is looked very cheap, and not all the LED's were straight on the circuit board. But once I plugged it in it looked pretty good. So I guess you get what you pay for quality wise, but for the money it does add a custom look to your truck."

fire light,
January 18, 2008
By jersdfrom SD
"found this to be a farly will made untell you get to the center piece for the full size truck. they only have one screw hole to mount it. discovered it would rotate . had to drill another hole and mount it strate. then if you get to much pressure on the outer screw it will cause the lights to lose contact. felt the double edge tape to mount it would be a better way. have had it now for 5 weeks with no problems."

Easy install - Bright,
January 18, 2008
By FIRESfrom The center of PA
"I bought the strip to replace one I'd gotten from a local speed shop. It had partically burned out. The Bully "Fire Strip" surprised me. It was much easier to install and it was a piece of cake to wire up. I hate even the simplest wiring jobs. But this was easy, even for someone like me who hates to wire something up. The worst part of the job was unscrewing the tail light, cutting off the old strips splices, and taping them up. And boy oh boy is this thing effective. If anyone hits me from the rear - guaranteed the cops will nail them. It looks great. Thanks Northern for providing great products - again."

Ease of installation,
January 15, 2008
By cbanddebfrom Copperas Cove, Texas
"This product was very easy to install. The peal and stick tape holds real well on a clean surface. The only thing that I would recomend is the removal of the tail gate to install the light strip makes it easier."
