"This weed eater is excellent. All I had to do was pour fuel into it, and fire it up. It performed great right out of the box. I would definitely recommend it."

Would not recommend,
June 6, 2008
By Tiredarm
from Shelbyville, Indiana
|
"Bought this thinking I would get a quality item and save a little money. Save money I did, but quality I didn't get!! The weed eater is hard to start and doesn't stay running when you let off the gas trigger. I read another review before I bought this weed eater and they also had the same problem. I was hoping it was an isolated incident. Guess I was wrong. Now I spend every weekend trying to get it started and keep it running. I would not recommend this item. Spend a little more and get a GOOD product!!!"

Start but would not run.,
April 21, 2008
By gcdc
from South Carolina
|
"After getting it back from the repair shop; it is still hard to start and keep running. However, it does run; slow at first and then speeds up after awhile. Much too light for the trimmer head (w/ 3 blades) I ordered. Would not start at all with it attached. It was dissapointing to get the trimmer and not be able to use it."

Hard to start,
April 15, 2008
By guarded
from Dallas
|
"Runs well and cuts well but difficult to start. 20 pulls initially but even if the engine is warm, it must be choked with another 20 pulls. I'm thinking that I will be able to adjust the carburator to start better, but then I could possibly make it more difficult."

garys' review on Weed Eater,
October 15, 2007
By georgel
from Pompton Plains/Garfield, New Jersey
|
"As in the past, all purhases, including this Weed Eater, have all been very reliable and without troubles. My first Weed Eater came about 14 years ago, and as this one, started up with the very first pull after adding fuel. Their only problem is the fact that they last too long and run perfectly. I still have my first Weedeater purchased from Northern and it still runs perfectly. I bought a second to eliminate having to transport back and forth to our other house. The same is said for my newly purchased blower, and my gas hedge trimmer. I will continue to purchase at Northern tool in the future. My hat is off to Northen and there fine service."
