TruTemp Evaporative Air Cooler,
July 9, 2007
By PaulEB

"We love our TruTemp portable evaporative air cooler. Like most buildings, we have a few offices that just do not get cool enough. We use our air coolers to keep these "hot spots" cool. Of course, since the building is air conditioned, the humidity level is low and that is when any evaporative air cooler works best. The remote control feature is great. Although the idea of adding ice to the unit for extra cooling is a good idea, we never bother."

Portable Evaporative Air Cooler,

"Nice little unit for a small office or for a bedroom in the house. Don't expect that you're going to feel like you're sitting in front of a regular evaporative cooler though. It's just enough to take the edge off. I got one for the garage and the afternoon/summer heat overpowers this little unit. It does help a little bit by adding a little moisture into the air."

Portable Evaporative Air Cooler,
August 11, 2008
By RGreg

"I purchased this for my office which is in the interior of the building and has no windows. The temperature in my office was too high and I needed an inexpensive means to lower the tempature. I am pleased with the results, although it does not lower the temperature dramatically, it has helped. My office is cooler and more bearable. the only drawbacks are 1. Twice a day I have to fill it up with water and add ice (which is not that bad a deal) and 2. after a couple of weeks there is a mild oder coming from the cooler (as soon as I find the instruction book I will learn how to clean it and hopefully the oder will go away). Overall I am very pleased with the Air Cooler."

Piece of junk,

"LOUD! Can not hold normal conversation in the same room. Sounds like it is going to come apart at any time. It is actually less noisy on high rather than low. Notice I said less noisy not quieter. Would not recommend to an enemy, much less a friend."

Keeps the rooms cooler than using nothing,
July 26, 2008

"After having read the reviews on this product, I purchased two for upstairs bedrooms that get very little air flow from the air conditioning unit for the house. I think I expected better cooling than these fans give, but if I aim it directly at my bed, it does make it cool enough that I can fall asleep. (Adding ice didn't seem to make a lot of difference to the amount of cooling either.) The only reason I would recommend this product to a friend is that I can fall asleep much earlier than I did before using it but if you are buying it to cool an entire room, I'd suggest you buy a portable A/C unit instead."

Amazing little machine,

"We have a non air conditioned office with no humidity. We start the Air Cooler about 11am with frigerated water and ice in the top, and start it up. This little machine keeps our office mice and cool the entire day and we only add ice and water maybe one or two more times as needed. In the winter time it worked great as a humidifier for our office as well. We are looking at purchursing many more for the reset of our resort. Highly recommend this little machien for year round use !!!!!!!"
