Great Value,
May 18, 2008

"I've used several pressure washers in the past, so I had high expectations when I went out to find one for use around my house. However, money was a little tight, and I didn't expect to use it a whole lot, so this unit seemed ideal for the jobs I had in mind. I was right.
This machine works wonders. It is small enough to store up on a shelf, yet has plenty of power. The Briggs and Stratton engine fires right up every time and runs well. It also runs quieter and smoother than Tecumseh engines used on other brands of pressure washers. I ended up buying a better gun and hose than stock (from Northern) due to my needing a quality turbo nozzle. This proved to be a good investment. This machine has taken a serious beating since I bought it new; I have yet to wear out the engine or the pump.
All in all, this may be the best homeowner pressure washer value around. I've used it to clean cars, degrease lawnmowers, blast off patios, and restore swimming pool decks to like-new condition. The wheel kit comes in handy if you need portability, too.
Problems? Well, my detergent injector never worked, but I hear that's a common problem. I wish I had a bigger fuel tank, but, again, that's minor. The only real annoyance with this thing is that it is way too easy to get water into the fuel tank throught the vent holes in the gas cap. A better design should be in order. Oh, well. I still would have a hard time finding something better..."

"This is an awsome machine, not only is it light-weight but it is small enough to store any place in my garage. It also does a great job spraying.all in all it's been a very great investment for me. I recommend this to any one who needs a press.-washer from time to time and not enough storage space, this is one of those machines that are small in size but does a BIG good job."

NorthStar 157477a,

"This is a very nice and now mobile unit since I've added the wheels. My syphon dosent work but after reading other reviews, it's been a regular problem. I'll have to take it apart and try to fix it. On my second use, the adjustable spray nozzel came apart. Again after reading reviews, it's a regular problem. I called and was put through to North Star, who will honor their 1 year warranty. Said that they will ship a new nozzel tomorrow. This is an upgrade from my electric unit and once I iron out the kinks, it will be fine for home use."

northstar gas powered pressure washer,

"The pressure washer is quite mobile with the optional wheel kit. It has been an excellent adition to my shop. I do alot of media blasting, and having the ability to wash off the vehicles with the siphon feed for the metal wash chemical was perfect to keep them from rusting . Did I mention portability, my nephew races motocross and gets his bike quite muddy, with a portable water tank we can wash his bike off between heats..."
