"I purchased this to replace a mechanical Hobb's meter that was mounted in the dash of my motorhome and kept run time on my diesel generator.

The Hobbs meter made mechanical clicking noises and I wanted something that was silent. and the Sunpro met those needs.

I was able to hook 12 volt power to the meter prior to installation and after approximately 15 days, the Sunpro read the same amount of hours as the Hobb's meter.

This meter requires a constant 12 volt supply, a switched 12 volt supply and a 12 volt that only activates when the generator is running."
