"If you don't want or have the room for a fuel tank permanently mounted to your truck, this caddy is about as good as it gets. Plus: Very easy to transport and fill. It lays in the pickup bed across a 4x4 nicely and refills much, much faster than 5 gal. cans and can be tied down just as quickly. It is surprisingly easy to move around a construction site. The cost is reasonable given the quality and the included 10' hose and nozzle. Minus: Naturally, it must be higher than your fill cap to gravity feed, and the flow rate is moderate to slow. Also, it does not drain completely since the valve is on the front ( about the 4 gal. is left in the tank). You need ramps, help, or a loader to unload it (about 300 lbs.). The grounding wire is annoying. Finally, the hose is a foot or more too short to refuel from the bucket back to the fill cap directly (not that any of us would consider doing that, of course). Bottom line: I would buy it again. It is the best designed and built portable tank that I have seen. The size is a nice compromise between 14 gal. (really better than 5 gal. cans?) and being too heavy to move around."

Slow Flow,

"On the Plus Side:
Well put together and thought out. It transports the fuel well, even over rough terrain. Stable both in the upright and reclined positions.
On the Minus:
This is a gravity feed tank. Keeping the tank high enough to fill equipment can be a challenge. Flow it slow at best. A fuel pump of some sort is needed to be time effective in the field.
I use this tank to transfer fuel from the bulk tank at the shop to the small equipment (backhoes, Skid Steers) in the field when they will be there for two or three days in place of installing permanent transfer tanks in the pickup trucks. It carries enough fuel to keep two machines fueled for a day. To that end, it works out much better than small 5 gal cans even if fueling is painfully slow. Spillage has been greatly reduced also."
