A sprayer well worth the price,

"A great product for a good price. Your money is well spent on this sprayer. You can cover a lot of ground with this and much cheaper than contracting out to your local sprayer. Cleans fairly easy but could use an easy to use drain in the bottom of the tank. Just remember to store it inside and flush RV antifreeze through it before winter and it will be functional for years. (I have mine for over 6 years) Caveat: This needs an optional simple electronic switch to turn the sprayer on and off. The current mechanical switch is a pain and possible safety hazard because you have to turn around to turn the sprayer on/off. Performing this function is awkward if you have a big tractor >50hp. For a tractor under 40HP the current manual switch is fine. This product should last you for a long time and with "Round-Up Ready" crops….It’s essential for the hobby farmer or putting in food plots."

Fimco 55 gal, 3 pt Spray Rig,
July 9, 2007

"This is a nice little sprayer for getting into tight spots or smaller fields. The unit came drop-shipped in a well protected carton, and assembly was a snap. The folding arms seem sturdy enough, although the hoses at the bends get a pretty good kink in them when they are folded. A little longer hose in these locations would solve the problem. The Directo-valve that comes with the unit might work o.k. on a very small tractor, but that's about the extent of it. I've run the sprayer mostly on our smallest tractor which is 45 hp. Even with the rockshaft all the way up, I couldn't reach the valve handle to turn the boom on and off. No hope of reaching it on the 65 hp tractor. I ended up purchasing an electric boom control kit to solve the problem. That added a little more to the cost, but it is really a nice set up because it also provides remote pressure adjustment in addition to boom control. The sprayer doesn't come with an agitator and I was hoping to add one, but I was disappointed to find that there aren't enough bungs in the bottom of the tank to properly install one. I also found that the tank strainer was installed backwards from the factory. If you're spraying Roundup or another abrasive chemical in any quantity, you'll want to switch out the factory tips for ones with stainless inserts. Other than that I have been pretty satisfied with the sprayer. The 3-point setup is far superior to a drawn sprayer if you have some small or irregular-shaped fields that require a lot of turns like we do on our farm. It's also small enough to do your lawn if its fairly open, but you'd want to use tips with a very wide spray pattern to keep from drifting on your wife's flowers."
