Dewalt table saw, April 21, 2008

"In its class and price range, this saw is a great workhorse for general purpose ripping. I use this saw on a daily basis to rip 2x, plywood and MDF materials. It is easy to adjust and lock in place with the convenient locking knobs located in the center of the adjustment wheels. I wish the dust shroud had a little more room for blade changes; I have difficulty putting an adjustable dado blade on the end of the arbor, I have to bow the plastic shroud out in order to get the thick body of the adjustable dado. Other than that the saw is great. As a carpenter of 15 years, I would recommend this product to anyone who could use a good jobsite table saw or second saw in there workshop."

"The gear drive rail is wonderful. I can make cuts without any saw marks that can be glue joints without running through a jointer. What a wonderful system. other adjustments are fast and accurate also. This saw is money well spent."

Table saw fence, January 21, 2008

"I have searched for years for an affordable table saw who's Fence is "always" parallel with the saw's blade. The simple test on other table saws is to deliberatly offset the fence and lock it down. If the fence does not correct itself parallel with the blade, I would not make the purchase, no matter what the cost of appearance of any saw. The Delta 10" portable table saw is accurate in every cut. Not only does the fence stay parallel with its saw blade but the location indicator faithfully allows the fence to be returned to its original location in the future(if the measurement was recorded).
The quick release for removal of the fence is the best of any I've found and further it is reversable to either side of the table. Moreover, the fence's flip down material support is awsome when making doors or other cuts to wood panels or plywood 24" wide.
In addition this table saw is adaptable for Corob Cutters which I use to shape custom long and wide boards for colonial exterior doors and interior custom casing for door and windows. Any professional or home cabinet worker will welcome this Dewalt Tools quality and ease of use as I have. Thanks Dewalt for all you excellent products."

"Very well made, yet light weight. Easy to set angles and measurements. Red on/off switch is an added safety feature. Blade exchange easy and fast. I would recommend this product to any serious builder."
