Excellent Fan,
August 18, 2008

"I ordered this fan and recieved in 4 days. The installation only took about 30 minutes. The fan can not be heard from in the house unless you go into the room over the vent late at night and sit and listen for a while. I have only had the fan for 1 week, so I can not say at this time how well it is working; but, I have no doubt that I am getting a complete exchange of air under my home every 15 minutes. I would recommend this crawl space fan to any and all home owners. If I could make one suggestion it would be for Northern Tools to carry the fans in thier stores. Thanks Northern Tool."

Crawl Space Control,
August 11, 2008
By Thefixer

"I was looking for a rugged reliable fan for my daughter's crawl space. Her sump pump failed when her electrical system shorted out. The space was flooded to the floor supports. The crawl space was pumped out. An experienced electrician was so impressed wit.h the design he decided to order one for his house. The crawl space is now dry and the variable controls shut the fan off when the humidity level reaches the level we have preset. It was easy to install and would fit several different openings with the clever design of the faceplate. I have no reservations about this intelligently designed tool."

Tjernlund UnderAire ventilator,
August 11, 2008
By cowtownjim

"I have a old downtown building built in 1903 with a store front on main street and one on the back street. I installed the under aire on the back street side with two open vents on the main street side. This uit has a humidity stat and only starts when needed. It has kept the crawl space nice and dry. I suggest this unit for all old buildings. I have seen a decrease in my electric bill after replacing the constant running fan with the Tjernlund unit"

I bought 2 one works one does not,

"My crawl space is cold, dark, and 80% humidity. That is great if you want to age cheese, but not so good if you want to keep mold, termites, and beetles from destroying your house. I bought two of the "Tjernlund UnderAire™ Crawl Space Ventilator — Deluxe Two-Fan, 220 CFM, Model# V2D" and put under my house. At the same time, i put humidity sensors about ten feet away from them to see how they were doing at circulating the outside air. By the way, I also have a sensor outside. The fans run all the time, but there is never more than a 1-2% change in humidity under the house. After about the first week or two, one of the two units stopped running. It is broken and I have not gotten around to replacing it yet. I recommend it, only because it is the only one that I know of to do the job, and it seems like it should do a good job. For me, it has done pretty much nothing and not I need to buy another. I am sure that I cannot return the original, because I had to cut off some of the surounding metal to get it to fit along the vent."

Very quiet and moves a lot of air,

"This ventilator has made a tremendous difference in removing musty odors from the crawl space below my living room that were detectable in the living space. I never hear it, although it's right below an oak floor over a plywood subfloor."

Easy and It Works Great!,
June 1, 2007

"I don't do my own installations that often, so I was a little worried about what I was getting into. I purchased the UnderAire and am very happy I did! Installation was a breeze--everything I needed was included and the unit was up and running in no time. I have purchased many products form Northern and always been satisfied, but this unit was definitely the best in terms of ease of installation and excellent performance. Would highly recommend."

Crawl space ventilator,

"I needed a way to ventilate under a rental. When I checked on what it would cost to install a ventilation system, I was cost bound. Places wanted ,500.00 to ,000.00. I started checking around on the internet and found Northern Tool. They had just what I needed and at a real good price. I bought the fan, it was at my house in 3 days. I only had to drill 4 holes at the vent opening under the house, hang up soom electric cord, plug it in. Done. I already had a electric outlet install for outher stuff. I spent only 30 min. to install, and hang my ele. cord,it was very ease for me to do, even with a bad back, shoulder and leg. The product came with all screws needed to install. I spent less then 0.00 for the whole project. Thanks Northern Tool"
