Teakettle,

"Very substantial and able to keep steam in the air when moisture is required on those dry winter days with you wood stove going. I would caution that there is a "break-in" time while a particulair scent is emitted due to curing of the paint. Very esthetic and functional too."

Boosts room comfort,
January 14, 2008
By WiseEOD

"We got this to boost the air moisture in the room our stove is in. Once the stove is hot, the kettle is a tastefull looking way to add some moisture and keep the immediate area more comfortable. Looks nice on the stove when being used, and even when we aren't."

"I did a web search for a cast iron tea kettle to put on my wood stove to add moisture to the room. Northern Tool website came up in the response. It was exactly what I wanted and the price was right. The Shipping was very prompt and I am a very happy customer."

"This unit works great with our wood stove to provide moisture. We highly recommend this product. In fact we purchased two additional units for our son and a neighbor. The water lasts approx. 6 to 7 hours so it makes it through our sleep time."

Rusty kettle!,
October 15, 2007
By SrN214
from Roxbury, CT
|
"Teakettles require water. Water causes oxidation. This is NOT a good combination and I would not recommend this kettle, even though I only use it as a humidifier on top of my wood stove. It started rusting almost immediately after I filled it and put in on my stove. It is fine as a decoration, but not functional."

Great Product,

"This is great for on your wood burning stove, not only for making a good cup of tea, but it also puts moisture in the air, and saves on you turning on your stove eveytime you want coffee, tea or hot cocoa. When you are not using your wood stove, then take this pot with you for camping. It lasts and lasts, and comes in handy over a fire."
