"I recently completed a flush drywall installation of the 8-circuit unit in a finished garage. My findings were exactly as the other gentlemen's review. The trim kit is only a nicely painted flat thin sheet metal piece with 4 screws. The price seems a bit high for the newer "Trim Plate" only version, but the finished results are absolutely great.
There are photos of this product in Reliance documentation that are perhaps of a former version which was at one time an entire cradle unit that actually mounted the Pro-Tran. Be prepared to engineer wood mounts for the Pro-Tran and wood blocks for the trim plate screws to engage. I highly recommend purchasing this product to get a professional clean looking installation."

Just a wall plate,

"I ordered this trim kit thinking it was more than it actualy was. It is just a trim plate like an oversized outlet cover. There is no method of securing the transfer switch in the wall with this piece, I had to come up with that myself. This part was however mush needed to have a final finished look (and cover the mess made from cutting the drywall). I wouldn't have gotten a good flush appearance without it. I have to recomend the trim kit for the flush mount but be prepared to do some engineering to actually mount the box in the wall. Again this is just an esthetic "Trim Kit" piece, not a mounting kit. 3 stars because I expected more. End result though was a very nice finished look with this and the clear cover. Get it if you want the final product to look real nice but keep in mind some extra work is involved to get the flush look. Surface mounting these units is much easier. Depends on how finished your garage is and the "look" you are going for."
