Quality Expected from Dewalt,
August 18, 2008

"It was used at work and home projects. For sign installation and repair service, it was a work horse. It was fairly maneuverable with lighter weight but strong enough to power through long screws and drilling metal boards. The power was very impressive even with the 12V battery. It was sometimes hard to shift between 1, 2, and 3 speed gears. I would have to tap the trigger couple times to get it unlocked. I had it for 3 years and now the battery is not keeping the charge, but I think it is primarily because I left it in my car trunk for a week in hot summer. Now it won't keep a charge. Replacement batteries are ridiculously expensive, and really they just want you to buy a new tool."

"I purchased this drill several years ago. Built a huge backyard deck and used it for several other projects. It's a great drill that holds up to lots of use/abuse. Batteries hold a charge very well. would definetly recommend this product to homeowner or professional."

12 volt drill,

"This is my favprite de walt tool. I have a whoe kit of 18 volt de walt tools and use this one the most. I like the weight, balance and power. I am a do-it-yourself type and don't keep the battry charged regularly and therefore may be reducing the life of the batteries. I hightly recommend this tool."

Excellent Compact drill,

"This is a great drill for the price. It packs a lot of power in the 12 volts. It outlasted my Craftsman 18 volt drill after a full charge on both drills doing the same task (screwing boards on my new deck). Would definitely and have already recommended this drill to friends. The size and weight is also convenient for the do-it yourself projects. The extra battery is also a plus."

Best bang for the buck!,

"this drill is probably the best I've bought, and I've been thru a few. Fairly compact, good torque & battery life means that this is the 1 that gets used more than any other in my shop or home. Metal fabrication, honing small hydraulic cylinders, drilling, deburring and countersinking, woodwork, drywall screws, you name it, it's been used for ir, and has held up well."

Excellent drill/driver,
January 21, 2008
By Bob5006
from North Georgia
|
"Have used drill for over a year on various projects on farm. Always performed well. Very useful in areas where there is no electrictricity. Only short coming is that when drilling holes in posts to hang gates with 3/4 inch bit, battery will only hold up for three or four holes."

DEWALT COMPACT CORDLESS DRILL,
January 21, 2008
By Robo
from Priest River, ID

"This drill has plenty of torque and I like the battery life. The battery recharge is very quick. When I'm on a ladder it's easy to use and light enough to hang from my work belt. The chuck grips bits well with only a moderate tightening. The construction is very sturdy and mine has survived dropping with no damage. It's well worth the money!"
