Best bang for the buck & excellent construction!!!,
August 18, 2008
By Sniperfrom New Jersey
"This saw is now my new workhorse. Use it everywhere. I was able to finish my basement, install crown molding, put in a garage workshop and finish as deck with this beauty. The only problem I have is that everyone wants to borrow it!!! Laser is a great accessory but I highly recommend the saw stand. The saw clip securely into it and creates a perfect height platform with excellent stability. It also comes with an excellent thin-kerf DeWalt blade. Don't hesitate one second. I researched nearly every saw out there for at least a year before settling on this one."

Versatile & Mobile,
May 15, 2008
By MadSawerfrom California
"The DeWalt double bevel sliding compound miter saw is one of the most versatile and mobile tool I own. Despite its size and weight, I routinely move it around the house with ease to set up in convenient locations. Creating compound miters for crown moulding was a breeze. The 12" sliding blade also allows reasonable accuracy to cross-cut extra wide boards by cutting half way, flipping the board over, and finishing it off.
The exhaust catch bag does not work well on my saw - which is a minor annoyance at worst."

Great, but wish it had a laser guide.,

"It would be nice if they would put a laser guide on this saw as a standard feature. But you can buy it separate. Otherwise, it's a great saw. It's easy to see the blade. It has a good range of miters and the bevel stops are great."

dewalt saw,

By troycfrom Bristol, Maine
"The DW718 is a great saw! I have used this saw to cut just about everything. I have been using it for the last two years. I can't say that I am gentle with it, but it has been used in the rain and used in the salt air of Maine. The mitre lock has never failed. The positive stops are always accurate. If you are in the market for a saw I would definitely recommend this saw"

Versatile Saw,
April 22, 2008
By mochucksterfrom KC, MO.
"I first got to use this saw that a friend of mine had when I helped him put vinyl siding on a storage shed. I was so impressed with how it would slide and cut all the way across, I went out and bought one. Among many other uses, I have used it to replace all of the hand rails on a porch with stairs with many angle and turns, made combo cuts for very fancy deck, and the latest use was combination angle cuts on a 7 foot tall Lighthouse for a friend. This has been one of my best investments in a power tool and after I got the DeWalt stand for it, I rarely use any other saw!!!"

Good Product,

"I bought this same saw when I built my first house. I have been very pleased with the features and dependability of a saw I have had for over ten years. Unfortunately, someone else thought they needed it and all my other tools more than I did. Yes, our job site was hit for copper and they stole all my tools and even the spare tire off my trailer."

Dewalt Double Bevel,
January 23, 2008
By Degan7from Memphis, TN
"Great Saw. I re-worked all the trim in the house and the saw is especially nice with plenty of power. It is great to not have to think of upside down and backwards when cutting trim. The saw cuts great thru 10 inch boards without having to flip them over for two cuts. A Real time saver. The optional laser for precise cutting is nice too."

Saw does whatever you want in any situation!!!,
January 22, 2008
By MrCoffeefrom Plains,MT
"I purchased this saw originally to take over a lot of work I was doing with my big tablesaw. The ergonomics are wonderful as are the depth stop and angle stop. I have used it in weather from - 20 - 100+ degrees without a single problem. I used it to cut all of the webs, uprights, top and bottom chords for 42 half pitch trusses that were 46' long and never had to trim or force anything into place. I have used this saw for tons of rip cuts mostly wedges to level trailer houses. And it was used for about 2000 feet of trim work. The only thing the I regret is not buying the portable stand for it YET... I would recommend this saw to anyone because of its quality, features, power, and ease of use."
