Drill doctor does the job!,
March 7, 2007

"I have been eyeballing the drill doctor product for some time. Finally I dropped a hint to the wife I would like one of these, not coincidentally around Christmas time!
When I got the unit I immediately watched the dvd that came with it, and I had already seen the infomercial on the unit so I had a good idea how it worked. After watching the dvd a couple times I started playing with it, yes on the kitchen table on Christmas morning. Move that easy bake oven over kids, Dad needs some room to play also!
It took me a few times to get the angles right, but after just a few tries, I was sharpening bits like a pro. My only real difficulty came in trying to sharpen 18" long bits designed for going through walls. They were top heavy in the drill doctors chuck, making keeping the bit angles aligned.
As usual Northern had the best price and I found a rebate on the 750xx, which made it even more inviing to buy a Drill Doctor at this time. The item was ordered late, just 5 days before Christmas, but somehow Northern Tool got it there before the holiday."

Drill Doctor's 750X does the job,
August 18, 2008

"I have owned the 750X for about 6 monthes now and am very pleased with it. Initially I had purchased the 350X Model. But after trying it out on several drill bits I wasn't too happy with it, mainly because it would only sharpen bits up to a 1/2" in diameter. I have several steel bits larger than that that needed sharpening so I called Drill Doctor's home office and they were extremely helpful. They let me trade my 350X in on a new 750X and gave me full price for my 350X ! The difference between the two models is substantial. The 750X has more sophisticated alignment and angle adjustments allowing you to sharpen bits at a much more precise degree which in the end gives you a much sharper bit. Plus you can sharpen bits up to 3/4" in diameter. For the extra - the 750X is well worth it as compared to the 350X. I have used mine on dozens of drill bits now and I honestly believe it leaves a bit sharper than a new factory built bit does on some drill bits. I must say I was rather skeptical when I first tried Drill Doctor but since owning a 750X I am a happy and satisfied customer."

Great Product,

"Sharpens bits perfectly, as sharp as new. I use one of these at work and at home, saving lots of money by not having to purchase new bits. Simple to use and does a great job on the bit. I really like the fact that it will sharpen split point bits. When I first got this, I spent a couple of hours sharpening all of those dull bits that were laying around in my tool box and now they cut like new."

"i bought one of these for the shop at work, and we used it for about six years. when i retired i bought one for myself at home, i haven't used this one as much as i did the one at work, and this is actually a step up from the one we had at work. i have used several different types of sharpeners over the years and have never used one that can compare with the drill doctor. it is easy to use and works well, i would recommend this to anyone"

"This drill doctor, DD750X, is the best tool ever made. Very easy to use. I sharpened about 40 bits in about 30 minutes. The bits cut through steel like butter after sharpening. I highly recommend this tool!!"

"I am an Electrical Contractor and I saved my dull bits for years thinking I would find a good way to sharpen them eventually. I finally bought the Drill Doctor DD750X and boy did I sharpen bits! I had saved over 450 bits and I sharpened all of them in just a few hours saving myself hundreds of dollars. My employees are all impressed with how well the bits perform. Thanks for the great product!"

Excells again!,

"I've owned and used a previous model of the Drill doctor and have always been happy with it. But when I saw the improvements made to the latest model DD750X, I felt it was worth the upgrade. The ability to change the relief angle of a drill bit and the positive lock knob on the drill point angle alone simplifies my daily sharpening sharpening chores that much more. This should keep me going for a while!"

Good Product,

"I've used this at home on a casual basis and been very pleased. The bits may not be as sharp as a factory finish but I think the results are well worth the investment.
What better way to save money that fixing something yourself or recycling old worn out bits. I've even resurrected a few I've found in yard sales.
I highly recommend watching the DVD before you use it and read all the instructions. There are a few things that you need to get just right to have good results but after that it's a snap. You'll be sharpening every dull bit in the neighborhood in no time.
And yes, the 750 is well worth the extra $$$ over the lesser models!"
