The Cordless 28 Volt 1/2 in. Hammer-Drill uses the Milwaukee-built high-power motor to develop an enormous 600 in. lbs. of maximum torque and 0-600/0-1800 RPM, ideal for drilling larger holes and driving larger screws faster. The V28 battery pack weighs less than an 18 Volt pack yet delivers two times the run time, making this the ideal solution for all drilling and driving needs. The V28 uses Lithium-Ion technology, which allows consistent fade-free power - meaning the first cut is as powerful as the last. V28 Lithium-Ion battery packs will never develop a memory and can be charged at any time regardless of the packs current charge level! Press the fuel gauge button and LED indicators display remaining charge left in the pack, providing an ideal way to check the state of the pack before you start your job. 5-year limited warranty.

Cordless Hammer-Drill,
October 29, 2007
By Chucklfrom Miami, Florida
"I have had a Milwaukee 28 volt, cordless hammer-drill for about 6 months. Normally, I always try and use a corded drill because the cordless units just never seem to be able to get the whole job done. This 28 volt drill is amazing! It seems to have the same torque and punch as a corded drill plus the convenience of cordless devices. The new higher voltage battery technology reliably runs for a good two hours drilling in the hardest materials.
The battery portion still poses a problem in some really tight areas that you can fit a corded unit in, but having a strong, battery operated drill in areas with no electricity or high up a ladder where a cord becomes a problems out weighs any disadvantages. And of course, it have the same top performance and quality as do all Milwaukee products. I'd recommend this drill to anyone!"

Scary,
July 9, 2007
By solutionthingfrom Waldo, Ohio
"This hammer drill works so well it's scary. I'd never have believed a battery powered hammer/drill/driver could work so well until after I tried them. The advertising doesn't do it justice. I'd have liked a little longer battery life, but the batteries recharge fast and they certainly provide more power than the old NiCad style. I love this thing so much I got another. And then the portable band saw that has made my hacksaw obsolete. The band saw is another fabulous tool, especially considering it's battery powered. And the impact wrench that's tremendous. And the circular saw. The circular saw doesn't work as well as my plug in Skil saws, but it's still fabulous considering the battery power and I don't need to worry about cutting the cord. The whole group, though a little higher in price than most, is fabulous. Buy them as you can."

28 volt cordless drill,
April 23, 2008
By gramj1from Bellingham, WA
"This has been one the most useful and versatile cordless tools I have ever owned. It has the long battery life for working in the field. It is able to drill in any kind of steel and does very well in installing concrete anchors. The 2 speed and variable speed is nice for drilling in stainless steel cabinets or 1/4" angle iron."

Awesome drill,
April 21, 2008
By IBSmittyfrom Horseheads, NY
"This drill has more torque than any other drill I've used except for my right angle drill. It is more powerfull than any 1/2" corded drill I've owned, and it is light enough to cary all day. I have used many drills, and this is twice the drill of any DeWalt that is made."

Milwaukee cordless hammer-drill kit,
January 21, 2008
By raymondlfrom ohio
"It is an amazing tool. Plenty of power to get the job done it's like using an electric drill without the constrants. The only neg issue and its livable assuming you have another battery pack, is when the battery goes dead. It mean dead "right now"!"

Top of the Heap,
January 21, 2008
By TKYHNTRfrom Northern NJ
"From the first 7.2V true contractor drills in the early 80's, to this Milwaukee 28V bear of a drill, I've probably used and wore out every brand and voltage available thruout the years. The 18V Milwaukee hammer/ drill was the best I ever used and owned by far! Then the 28V filled in the missing blanks, with unbelivable, incredable power, battery life and handling. With two batteries available, I run a 28V sawzall, set countless anchors and drive 2X12 screws all day long. Being a commerical electrician and repairing most of my own stuff, I know what's inside these drills and I can tell you that Milwaukee puts superior material inside, where it counts. Open them up and compare! It's copper bushings, wire and metal, compared to plastic, white metal and more plastic! They balance great in your hand and you can flip the battery over to get in close or deeper. I know the battery indicator sounds like fluff, but it's become part of our tool and inventory check, before going up or under. It's kinda overkill for home, unless you demand the best tools for weekend work also. It's money well spent!"

Best cordless drill I've used,
October 31, 2007
By KLKLfrom Colorado
"I love this drill. I've used it to sink countless deck screws, tek screws and lag screws, plus numerous misc projects around the shop including drilling plenty of holes in steel. The Lithium Ion batteries last a very long time, with virtually no drop in performance as they discharge. I haven't yet dropped the drill from any height, but it's been kicked around the shop floor plenty and seems durable. The supplied belt clip is easy to use and great for working on ladders. Highly recommend!"

V28 Hammer drill,
October 29, 2007
By Otis45from Fremont, CA
"I bought this drill with the expectation that I would have a heavy duty cordless drill that performed considerably better than my current 14.4V and 18 V units. It does do that with one exception - the V28 batteries. The batteries don't seem to hold a charge more than a few weeks. As a homeowner and not a person in the trades, I don't use the unit every day. I had the batteries relaced under warranty once with the assurance that the new ones would hold a charge for a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, the replacements aren't much better than the original ones. Still, it 's a great drill and has performed (once charged) each and every time."
