"This is a great unit if you have the power to run it. True industrial machine built by a company with over 100 years experience in air compressors. Unit produces a lot of air, but, and this is a big BUT, you must have a true 230 volts to run it. If you don't you will have problems. This big guy will suck the average home power down to under 200 volts in a hurry. That will result in problems with breakers tripping and motors burning up. As I said if you have the power it's a great unit."

One Tough Compressor,

"I've had several smaller compressors over the years and always suffered from a lack of adequate air capacity for my shop. This last time around, I purchased the largest single-phase IR compressor I could get my hands on. I have a small automotive restoration/repair shop and purchased mine from NT going on 3 years now. It has held up very well, but it is also serviced on a regular interval. It is a very tough machine. I would highly recommend this compressor to anyone that is going to be doing any type of automotive bodywork or has a need for medium to heavy shop air usage. The Full Packaged unit is the way to go with this machine. Only negative issue I've had is that the auto blowdown valve will gum up and stick open every once in awhile. I've had to disassemble and clean it a couple of times over the past 3 years, but it still continues to work well. You can't go wrong with an IR compressor. You get what you pay for when it comes to these machines."
