full of uses,
April 23, 2008
By Anonymous Reviewerfrom Nashville
"I volunteer at Habitat for Humanity most summer weekends and this saw is indespensable. One battery will usually get me thru the day and not having to find an extension cord on a crowded job site is a blessing. i also found another use. When someone tiled my kitchen floor they inadvertently tiled in the dishwasher. This saw cut the legs off with no problem and the washer slide right out. It was a life saver."

Reciprocating,
April 21, 2008
By JBowmanfrom Southwestern CT
"This is my third reciprocating saw, and this one is the best and most durable of the three. It has sufficient power to cut heavy limbs as well as do minor trimming. Although fairly heavy, it is well balanced. The only downside is that the battery is a little difficult to remove. The cordless convenience is great since I have about an acre of land to take care of."

Couldn't be happier,
April 21, 2008
By skyfirefrom Miami, FL
"At first I was rather skeptical of a cordless saw but was sold on it when I observed a carpenter in NC use one all day long. I asked him about it and he said he loved it. I purchased one the next time I could and have now used it around the house and on special projects with great success. The only drawback I can see and this is the same issue with all cordless machines is the need to change the battery. At least mine has a good battery life. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and would recommend it."

not so good,
April 21, 2008
By Couldbetterfrom Hohenwald Tennessee
"This tool has plenty of power, is well balanced and well sized for the jobs it performs. The bigest problem i have had is the blade release mechanism. I have 3 of these and on all 3 after about 5 or 6 blade changes the release becomes two week to work. I have several dewalt cordless tools and this is the worst problem i have encountered."

Best tool in the Box,
April 21, 2008
By CarpenterCharliefrom Dallas TX
"I have been in construction all my life and this is the best tool that has ever been invented. While working on remodel projects. This cordless sawzall is one of the most used tool on any given day. I have had one for 5 years and it still works as good as they day I bought it. I would recomend this to any one in the construction field or even the do-it -yourself weekend home remodeler."

Best bang for the buck.,
March 16, 2008
By JD702from Salem,IL
"I have to admit that when I read the reviews for this saw I was a little skeptical. All of the other saws I had been looking at that had the power and reliability I wanted were quite a bit more expensive, but I liked what I read and ordered the Dewalt with an extra battery. It just so happened that we had just come through a major wind storm followed by an ice storm so I had piles of limbs everywhere by the time the saw arrived. The limbs where not really big enough to tackle with a chain saw but would involve several days work with a hand saw.I went out and got a couple of pruning blades and boy was I surprised at how this saw chewed through the green wood of these limbs,a few were 5 inch in diameter and it went through them like butter.Vibration was minimal and the saw was very comfortable to operate.I had everything cut into neat piles in less than two hours and never needed the extra battery.I can't wait to see how this saw handles the kitchen rehab that I ordered it for. This is the first Dewalt product that I have owned in many years,I've been a dedicated Bosch user, but I will certainly be giving them a closer look in the future."
