Good saw, tricky blade changing/handling,
August 24, 2008
By BigRed1from Bellaire, Texas
"Have had and used this saw for several years now and am very pleased with its overall performance. Its got power to spare, and its dust collection system is first rate for my hobbiest and home-repair (including 2 rental properties) uses. My only complaint and the reason for the lost 5th star, is the confusing and counter-intuitive blade change procedure. Have had blades loosen up on me while in use, and on one embarrassing occasion in front of a renter, the blade simply slipped out of the mounting clip as I walked to the project! Seems that the manufacturer of a a tool with so much of everything going for it, Dewalt could come up with a more rational way of performing a task that all of us need to do to be able do to successfully use a tool!"

"The Dewalt jigsaw was the easiest to use I have ever tried, especially for cutting metal, which i mainly used it for, It is fast and powerful. Other jigsaws just didn't come near the perforance of the Dewalt."

"I have to say that I was and am very happy with this saw. It is light enough to handle but obviously a well made machine. I like the variable speed and it cuts very well. Cant go wrong IMHO."
