"I bought this item because I'm handicapped with Muscular Dystrophy and when I fall I'm unable to get up again. The last time I had to call the Fire Department to pick me up. So I thought if I had eye bolts installed in my ceiling and bought a rope hoist we'd be able to get me up without the embarrassment of calling emergency services. We tested it and it works exactly as your information says. I weigh 325lbs and it picks me up without a lot of effort and it locks in position at any height and unlocks with ease. So I would recommend this product to anyone needing an inexpensive way to lift moderate loads safely.
