"I am using this to heat a medium sized garage and it does great. It only has to run for about 5 minutes every 45 minutes to keep temp comfortable. It uses less fuel than I would have expected and isn't near a noisy as the last one I had. I haven't had any problems with it and would reccomend it."

Mr. Heater Portable Heater,

"*Very Powerful *Thermostat control is extremely nice. I can't believe how much fuel I was wasting with my last heater. *The large tires and extended handle make it easier to manuver around the shop. *I own a trucking company and I spend a lot of time out in the shop during the winter months. I am much more productive since I have purchased this heater. Now, I don't have to make several trips back and forth to the wood burning stove to defrost my hands. I simply take the heat with me. This heater is well worth the money and I would recommed it to anyone that must work outdoors or in a shop."

Mr. Heater,
April 14, 2008
By ExtremeOutdoorfrom Buhler, KS
"Overall, I would say that we love this heater. We have large shop to heat and thought we would try it out to save expense over natural gas. At outside temperatures of 0, we could run around the shop in shorts and T-shirts within 10 minutes of turning this heater on!! It is also thermostat controlled, although we usually have to shut it down long before the thermostat does. We also expected a foul smell, however, if you use kerosene in the unit, you hardly smell anything. If you use diesel, there is a slight odor, but not bad.
The reason for the 4 stars is a Mr. Heater issue, not a Norther Tool issue. When we received the heater there was a damaged part on it we had to order before we could use it. Then, within just a few weeks, the motor went out. Mr. Heater was prompt to respond and send the parts without question, however the heater motor was on backorder, and we had to wait for about 10 days to get it. Once we started using it, we completely shut down our natural gas heat, so we really needed it.
As far as customer service goes, it is probably the the best I've had in past several years.
This may in fact be an isolated incident, however, this is my honest opinion. I would buy another heater like this one and I would definietly recommend the heater and northern tool to anyone."

"This is a great product. I have ordered four of them now for my shops. The thing I like the most about them is the little maintenance they require to keep them working. Add fuel daily and clean the nozzel monthly no problems."

"This heater is amazing. I am using it to keep an area around a large hydraulic pump warm in the winter. It not only does the job, but also knocks the chill off a good part of our 100,000 square foot warehouse. I would recomend it to anyone who is trying to heat a resonably large area."

Portable Heater,

"There are occasions when my Reserve Deputy Marshal's serve on details in inclement weather. I was reluctant to purchase this model at first because the price seemed a bit low for the BTU ouput. This is a great unit - easy to assemble and a cinch to operate. I was very surprised that the top of the unit does not get hot to the touch which makes the unit very safe. I also like the fact that it also runs on diesel which is easier and less expensive to acquire than kerosene. I highly recommend this unit."
