Model# DC925KA,
August 18, 2008
By CableguyJefffrom Minneapolis, MN
"This is an awsome drill, I have had this drill for almost 4 years now and the batteries just went bad. More power than most will need. The hammer drill works great, I use it alot. I overheated the drill one time to the point of the drill smoking and it just keeps going. I liked the drill so much that I bought one for my Dad."

Dewalt 18v cordless hammer drill,
January 26, 2008
By sparkiefrom Winter Springs, Florida
"I have used many portable drills and not one comes close to the performance that Dewalt delivers. I use this drill at home and at the job. Being an electrician for over 20 years, I am always for trying to do my job more easier then ever. The drill can last for up to 6 continued hours. I have drilled 3/4" plywood with a 1 1/2" hole saw and fastened up to 4 utility boxes on one job and the drill never let me down. The torque is fantastic and speed good. The other feature I like is the way the chuck can lock any bit into place. Also the balance of weight, the manufacturer really did his home work on this tool."

Awsome drill,
January 22, 2008
By Riddlerfrom Iowa
"I got this drill to replace a old 12V Skill and boy what a difference. I have used the hammer setting to drill holes through the brick on my house for TV cables. It drilled through like drilling into wood. Excellent torque plus 3 speed setting to cover what ever you are doing. I especially like the keyless chuck. It clicks and locks onto a drill bit very tightly.
In short a awesome drill!"

Great Drill,
January 21, 2008
By RetiredCoastyfrom Boston, MA
"This is one great drill. It has plenty of power and torque for almost any job. The no-key chuck works flawlessly. What I really like about the drill is the control at low rpm. I use various types of screws, rather than nails, for many of my woodworking projects. The high torque at a really low RPM allows me to set the depth of the screw head exactly where I want it."

Keep on drilling away,
January 21, 2008
By WW5LWY5Hfrom Dallas-Fort Worth TX
"This 18v Dewalt drill driver outshines any drill driver I have ever used before like a newly painted and restored 1962 Corvette sparkles in the daylight in my front driveway. I use mine so much at the office and home I have had to buy three extra rechargeable battery packs just to keep it doing at the rate I use it. Before buying this powerplant-the Chevy 409 of drill drivers in my estimation-- the other portable drills I used would stall under heavy loads or simply wouldn't last through the entire job. I once was helping an Eagle Scout candidate assemble and install bird houses in a wilderness area for his required service project and my old rechargeable just wouldn't drilbe the 3-inch wood screws. Before I helped the next Eagle scout on his project I had bought the DC925KA and it kep going and going and going like a certain bunny."

Dewalt XRP 18V cordless drill,
January 21, 2008
By jrbigskyfrom SW Montana
"I bought this drill for the construction of my new home. It has been a real workhorse, exceeding expectations. It came with two batteries, case, charger, and the drill. For the first year, I could drill and drive for 2 days on one battery. Now, 3 years later and a lot of battery cycles later, 4-5 hours of hard use will drain the battery. I used it for plumbing, drilling 4-1/2" holes with a holesaw, 2-1/2" holes with an auger bit, and 1-1/2" holes with spade bits through joists, beams, and heavy timbers. It had enough torque to severly twist my hand when the bits would bind.
I have dropped it from ladders, worked it in the cold, and broken all kinds of bits and driver with it. I have driven several hundred 6" lag screws while building a deck, and driven 55#s of deck screws and well and several hundred pounds of other screws with out a hiccup. 8#'s of Durarock screws with a single battery charge. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely buy this drill again."

Keeps me drillin',
October 30, 2007
By Wolfmontfrom Ranger, GA
"I grew up with a dad who was a builder and contractor, and I saw a lot of power tools growing up. Now, I'm a guy who does stuff around the house and the farm. This DeWalt drill is great! It's not something I'd lug around in a holster all day, but then it's not made for that. We're building a new home in between other things, and I have a lot of drilling to do--much of it in concrete or masonry. This baby doesn't even slow down.
I had another brand, orange and black in color, and I've relegated it to the house so the wife can use it to hang pictures and stuff like that. No way it could handle what this one does!"

"I use hammer drills all day installing cable. This is far and away the best, most powerful and quickest hammer drill on the market. It will run all day on one battery and the other recharges fully in only one hour. You couldn't pay me to switch. Nick"
